The vendor showed up to my place and misrepresented himself as a licensed contractor. He was only supposed to be there to inspect and sweep my chimneys and upon arrival he immediately told me that what I was scheduled for was not enough. He coerced me into more work that needed to be done. I was home alone and didn’t feel comfortable saying no. Because he was insistent that this was a problem that needed to be fixed and he was offering a “good deal”. The work he actually did was very poor quality and I am not confident he used the proper materials.

He originally told me that we would receive an invoice to pay after the fact and then when he was finished with the repairs he demanded payment. He stood over me and waited until I wrote out a check. I didn’t feel comfortable saying no as I was home alone.
