I had an unfortunate experience with a website called The Dachshund Beverly Home where I was scammed while trying to purchase a dachshund puppy. Initially, I paid $450 as a deposit to secure the dog. The seller sent me a copy of what appeared to be their driver's license and an address, which I later discovered were fake. However, when I requested a video call to confirm the puppy’s existence, the seller was unable to comply.

After making the deposit, the seller informed me that the puppy would be shipped from California. Later, I received a message claiming that due to weather conditions, I needed to pay an additional $475 to rent a temperature-controlled electronic crate to ensure the puppy’s safety. They assured me that the delivery driver would reimburse me in cash or by check upon delivery.

At that point, I became suspicious. After searching online for more information about the website and the seller, I realized I had been scammed. Unfortunately, I lost the money I had already paid, but I hope sharing my experience will help others avoid falling into similar traps.
