I contracted a local individual repairing sprinklers that i encountered walking my dogs in the neighborhood. I asked for a sprinkler estimate. He came by and gave me an estimate of $500. he started found leaks which he tried to repair and couldn't FIX. he asked for $300. The situation deteriorated from there. suggested bypassing broken pipes, he di after $200 more, and 1/2 the sprinklers wouldn't work. He said he would come back and put a drip system in to cover the bushed. never heard from him again. I had it repaired by a reputable company today for $1500, and the tore out everything he did and started over. In the process there found many leaks he had caused by using a sawzall, in tight spots.
