I received an email with the subject “Sitting is Dangerous.” I read through the email and clicked on a link titled. which led me to themetabolicstretch.com. There I read more info about how certain types of stretching can help with problems associated with sitting for long periods of time. I scrolled for a long time to get to the bottom of the screen filled with info and sales pitches. I saw at the end that the physical product they were selling was $15 plus S&H. I scrolled back up a little to find that the digital product was $10 plus tax. I decided to purchase the $10 digital download. At no time during the transaction was there any mention of an extra digital product and monthly membership. After submitting my payment, I got a notification from my bank for a charge of $10.70. Immediately after I got a charge for $5.30. I looked into it and found that I had been charged for a separate digital product with a separate order number. I contacted customer service and got the issue resolved. I was told that I would receive a full refund and the upcoming $60+ membership charge and the membership would be cancelled. I was also told that I would be receiving a refund because I cancelled the same day the product was order. So that means had I not caught the fraudulent transaction, I would not have received a refund. This company now has my address and debit card information.
