We were contacted by a person named Jane T*****. The email address is ***********@gmail.com. She claimed she wanted to give away her 2014 Sterling Baby Grand Piano because her husband was deceased and he wanted it to be given to a family. It was supposedly located in Nashville TN. She put us in contact with the shipping company called The moving Xperts (themovingxperts.com) and they tried to pressure us that it had to be paid today. Then informed us that their credit card system wasn't working so we had to pay via Venmo or CashApp. When I emailed "Jane" and asked to speak to her in-person, she emailed back and said she had a speech impairment and could only use email. When I asked The Moving Xperts to provide a copy of their insurance they tried to tell me that it would be covered under Jane's homeowner's insurance. Jane then tried to confirm it via email. So I sent them both the ScamPulse.com link with this same scam and they suddenly disappeared. When they did send an invoice it had an address on the bottom that was not valid. They were trying to charge us $925 to transport and setup the piano from four states away. This price was the first red flag since I knew transporting and setting up a baby grand was not easy and expensive. It should have been 3-4 times that.
