I posted a vehicle for sale on Autotrader. This scammer reached out to me and pretended to be interested in purchasing my vehicle but required me to purchase a report for my vehicle. It seemed fradulant since the website is new and not a well known name that provides reports for vehicle background information, however, I purchased the report. Yes, I got a report but once the person got me to buy the report, they immediately are no longer interested in purchasing my vehicle due to some crazy story. This person literally pretends to be interested in purchasing vehicles but is only doing that to sell his vehicle reports and make money off of listings for sale. He/She might be providing an actual report but getting people to purchase something under false pretenses is not ok. I just want others to know that this person is targeting vehicle listings to make money.
