I was "hired" by tholls between January and feburary. Packages came to my home, I printed labels and reshipped to "customers". I worked an entire month and waited for my "check" to arrive. I tried calling the office, It was a disconnected phone number. I called my manager, their phone was a disconnected phone number as well. I was very upset with this. I kept all of the labels and receipts along with the hiring paperwork. A few weeks went past and I went to login to the order site that I worked on but suddenly the sight did not exist.

In February of this year, I was offered a job from Kit Wilson (recruiter) as a remote, work from home package selector for Tholls LLC. It was explained this was a third party company who received shipments from a fulfillment company and we sent onward to customers. It was full time, receive packages from various shippers such as Fedex etc. and inspect for damages, repackage items with new label that was pre-paid and send them on the way. It was told to me that every month it would be $3600.00 paid to me for going thru 30-50 packages a week. Amazing benefits, dental, vision, and 401k as well as paid time off etc. I was given a Supervisor's name of Iris Ryan and really only communicated with her via email on the website they used as a work platform. I had the customer service # of 1 (424) 270-6324 which was always busy or went to voicemail. When I left a message, it conveniently was Iris who would return my call. It always took a day or two for her to return my call but it did put me at ease at least initially. I was already on high alert for fraud but the lack of being able to get immediate responses seemed to be when I really started paying attention to things. I had one package delivered in the 3 weeks I was supposedly "working" which was a cell phone case. I questioned why things were coming from Florida, sent to Colorado (where I am at), just to be sent back to Florida. Seemed suspect and I started wondering if this was a drug laundering type job or something similar. When I was told to print off the shipping label they had made for the customer, I saw my name as the sender. I questioned this because I know when I received the original package it said bill to sender on the front. I called the customer service # and after not hearing back from Iris I emailed her on the work platform telling her this better be paid and that I wasn't paying for this delivery. She assured me it was (after waiting 2 days for response). I took all the pictures I was asked to take and then took it to Fedex to be shipped onward. I asked the guy behind the counter to verify it was paid and he said yes. So going into week 3, I was asked for banking info for them to pay me. I said I wasn't comfortable sending bank info to a generic email of [email protected]. She said if I were more comfortable they could send me a check. I thought well a check could easily be no good since I am aware of those scams. I called my bank to tell them my siutation and if I were to give this company my routing info would they only be able to deposit money in there. I just wanted to know what was possible so I could cover my butt. My bank said no, they could take money out. I emailed "Iris" to get a number to speak with someone in payroll because I have never been asked for sensitive info like this via email and it was sending up red flags. No response. I finally realized enough was enough. I emailed Iris and said this sounded too phony and that who pays employees 3600.00 for one package sent out? She then agreed to cancel my contract I had signed, that was it. That was her response. It's then that I knew that all these red flags were real and if this were a legit job somebody would have called and spoken to me or something. I deleted the platform I had received in a link via email right away after taking lots of screen shots. So forward to April 27th, I received an invoice from Fedex saying I owed 49.84. I called and spoke to customer service and they said there was no account under my name which I already knew. He said the invoice was paid for and didn't know why I received this. I explained about Tholls and then he said if further billed, contact them and explain again. I received a second notice May1st demanding a response. I call again and explain again what had happened. He took down my info and agreed to credit me the amount they were billing me and that was that. I had no idea what this was for until they said it was for a package sent back on March 8th which was the single package I sent. Never gave bank info out but they did get my license photograph. This is frustrating!!

This is exactly what I went through.

I did the whole probation thing & never received my check. Same story as everybody else just a different time period. And they are using Suite 4830 on 707 Wilshire Blvd. I looked up the building & all it's businesses. And THOLLS was listed as an official suite. If anybody have the ability to investigate that suit in LA, I advise u do so immediately

I posted this SCAM report. I have been collecting information and investigating. I really hoped no one would have gotten taken advantage of but I am happy to see that this can help pull victims together. I have a few worries about all of this on top of the fact we got screwed out of money. Who was sending these packages and where were they really going? What are they going to do with our information now? What is their angle, like how is free work making them enough money to come up with an elaborate scheme? Those questions are my worries now that my anger from not getting paid has subsided. Go ahead and let me know if we should share our info and come up with a game plan. Get the truth, protect ourselves from the future blow back and maybe start a lawsuit? If I see ya'll interested on here I will come up with way for all of us to talk.

I applied for job via Indeed, received email, responded to email. I did phone interview, got offered position, signed contract for salary. Tholls provided w9 for me to fill out, which I did. Bought a printer, which they said they will reimburse, received several packages, which I followed steps they provided. At end of probation which is 30 days after completing 1st order. Got email confirmation that check was sent out. I never received check. I sent an email about 5 days after the day I was supposed to receive check, email was returned undeliverable, phone number not working, and website is now down

Tholls.com - Is employment scam, they offer you an employment to be a order selector from home. they send package to you to review and review package to suppose clients. you are suppose to receive your payment for work complete 30 days from when you process first package. Salary never is received and all source of contact provided stop working. beware of these terrible people taking advantage of people looking to provide for their families during this thime that unemployment is on the rise. below is copy of one of the emails received.

I received the same exact information and it is a SCAM and I have contacted them several times and found email addresses and now they are becoming undeliverable emails as time goes on. This is very sad and I can't believe that Indeed.com would let someone like this post a SCAM job on their site. I am now questioning Indeed.com site with how legitimate their site and information on it is.

I just found out there is a phone number on here that is associated with Tholls.com, and a Email Address at the bottom of this page. When you go search for Company in Trustpilot and you put Tholls in the box, it brings up outsider comics with the email address of it. I called that, number and she answer, so I start asking her question, about the company of Tholls. But, I even ask her, this company has email of Tholls in it, and She was cussing and stuff and try to ignore it and try to hang up. She was started to get aggressive and hateful, then She said this company been in business for 6 years, just like Tholls was. But, now supposedly it is in Seattle Washington from Los Angeles.

Started working for the company did everything I needed to do sent out the deliveries and finished my probation was waiting for them to send me my payment and they said they sent it out on the 6th but it didn't come i been writing them and calling them haven't heard anything from them yet

Don't waste your time. It's not legit you will not get paid. My check was "mailed" 30 days ago.. it's not here. It will not be arriving. Every day the date moves 1 day ahead. This is from a few days ago. Emails below of "offer"

Dear Becky,

Welcome to our team. It’s a pleasure to meet you!

First things first. As you have read in your Employment Agreement, your first day of work will begin once you process your first order. This day will be reflected in the CRM system as: My Account - Account Details - Account Open Date. The dates of your following paydays will be shown there as well.

For your probation month you will earn $3200.00 base rate + $100.00 transport expenses = $3300.00/month.

In a permanent position you will earn $3600.00 base rate + $150.00 transport expenses = $3750.00/month.

We've got few perks to offer you once you get on board with us:

Sometimes you will incur other job-related expenses for items such as clear packing tape, ink cartridges, basic printer, etc. You are eligible for reimbursement on these products. Just email the copies of your receipts for job related purchases to Payroll Department as an attachment. You can send them one by one, or submit all of them at the end of your probation.

The reimbursement for job related expenses, as well as a fixed amount of gas reimbursement will be added to your first paycheck altogether. No need to attach receipts for gas.

Please, keep in mind that you are eligible to receive a bonus for any extra working hours. Keep notes on every weekend/overtime processing (including order ID's) in any format, which is more convenient for you, and then email it to me 3 days prior the end of your probation.
As soon as the received information is confirmed by our Sales Department, the total amount of bonuses will be calculated and added to your first paycheck.

Now let's get to the specific documentation we need to receive from you in order to make sure your paycheck gets processed smoothly and in time on your scheduled payday.

Your first payment for probationary period will be processed on an Independent Contractor basis with no taxes deduction. For this reason, you are required to fill out the IRS W-9 tax form. Please, be advised that your earnings must be reported to the IRS at the end of the year. You can find the IRS W-9 tax form enclosed. Please, return it to me within 2 days since your probation starts to avoid any delays in releasing your paycheck.

No documents by regular mail are accepted, since we are unable to guarantee the security of sensitive information provided. At the same time, our email correspondence runs through encrypted electronic channel and remains highly secured and safe.

Your first paycheck is available in a form of a regular paper check and will be mailed at the end of your training (30 days after the first package gets processed) on your scheduled payday, since there might be bonuses or fines (per our Employment Agreement) applied. However, you can opt for direct deposit and bi-weekly payments once you are enrolled in a permanent position with our company.

Upon the end of your training it will be decided, if you are offered a full time position in our company or not. The evaluation report on your performance will be sent over to our HR Department by your personal manager on the last day of your training and it will take some time to be reviewed by our HR team.

Once you successfully pass your probation and get offered a permanent position, you will need to fill out and submit IRS W-4 tax document and USCIS I-9 form to become our full time employee. We will notify you in advance if the need to submit those forms occurs to assure smooth transition to your full time position.

The address we have in your CRM profile will be used for mailing your paycheck. If you would like your check to be sent to an alternate address, please advise me of this address, including your zip code.

Dear Becky,

Congratulations on hitting the end of your probationary period!

It was great to have you as a part of our team.
The decision on your full-time enrollment with Tholls LLC will be made on a basis of the comprehensive feedback, reported by your supervisor to our HR Department on the last day of your training, as well as your overall performance score during the probationary month.

It takes up to 10 business days for our HR team to review it and make a decision due to increasing amount of applicants recently.
You will be notified about the results of your evaluation via email from our HR rep at their earliest convenience.

You might be still receiving few orders in the next couple of days since they could've been assigned to your
account prior the end of your probation or due to the working schedule of your local couriers.
Just follow the instructions of your supervisor, she will advise you whether you should process them, send to
our Returns Department or hold onto those packages till our HR makes a decision.

Your paper check was issued and mailed today at approx 2pm PST.
Usually it takes around 10 business days to arrive by USPS regular mail.
The duration a paycheck takes to get from our location to yours will depend on distance between the addresses, carrier, selected postal speed, etc.

evaluation starts. It takes up to 10 business days - we need to
assess the timing it took you to report an order, provide pictures,

availability during business hours. If you haven't yet sent your
extra hours to the payroll, please, do that asap.

If there are some extra shipments to arrive within this week, please,
keep in touch with your curator on how to process them. The additional

Your curator has already submitted her report on your performance and
we have to gather now the reviews from the customers whose orders were
processed by your warehouse. Other members of the team who haven't
yet worked with you directly yet, like the sales and shipping
departments will express their opinion as well.

Though it will take a while, do not worry - enjoy the short break you
are given now. We will not have to sign another Employment Agreement
as the one we already have is valid for a year. However, if you are
accepted for the permanent position the terms for the permanent and
not trainees will now apply to you.

I was looking for jobs on indeed. I received an email from [email protected] offering me a remote job opportunity. I asked for more information about the job position. She called me for a job interview, in which the two most important questions were if I was available from 9am-5pm and if I had a car in which I could take the packages to the assigned carrier. I was the email some documents for me to signed, in which I also had to upload a photo of my ID and a bill as proof of residence. I also had to fill a W9 document. As for the job position, I was hired as an "Order Selector" so my duties were supposed to be receiving packages at home from FedEx, USPS, and UPS, and then processing them (Check them, take pictures and upload them in the CRM system, printing and adding new labels to the packages, and the take them to the carrier). I was assigned to this supervisor: [email protected], and her phone number is: (424) 270-6324. She's only contacted me twice, through the Flex-CRM system chat, My salary was supposed to be $3,200 for the month lf probation, and if hired full time $3,600 + 150 reimbursement from Gas, supplies for printing machine, clear tape, etc. It says my first two orders are supposed to arrive tomorrow 02/17/2023 which I won't receive, since I am very suspicious this business is a scam.

it is not looking good, no number from there website work and i dont get response from them in email

my portal is down for " tech maintinence "

i recieved legit items and sent them thru FDX and UPS so i dont understand what the deal is with them , very confusing and disappointing

I really pray it isn’t a scam because I’ve just completed the probation period & waiting on my payment now.. funny part is I felt suspicious about it too but at the time I started “working” for them I didn’t find anything online stating it was a scam, the website even looked legit. I also found a couple reviews from companies that used their shipping services so I just went along with it. That would really suck to find out it’s really a scam.

I was made aware today that I was unknowingly part of a freight forwarding scam. They posted their job offer on Indeed. The job seemed legitimate but even though the posting was on Indeed, the correspondence all happened outside of the job board which I now know is a sure sign of a scam.
