Ongoing scam attempt that started with faxes being send to me at my place of work about a year ago. Progressed to a formal looking letter sent to my home address that is standard phishing scheme, except now they are identifying me as a health care worker (which is correct) (11/01/2024). Faxes noted I might be a long lost relative that left me some money --please contact to facilitate getting to the funds. The letter now switches it up a bit identifying me as a "Nurse/caregiver" that once worked in an undisclosed "institution" where I gave compassionate care to unidentified individual who "secretly collected my name and address" since he wants to "astonish me with great compensation" in the form of a 3 million in a trust account. Oh by the way, they suggest not telling this to anyone, please contact us so we can send a claim application (thereby extracting me of my personal info I am sure). They top it with a sense of urgency in that there is a 30 day timeline to respond. Has an official letter head and name of contact : Attorney Louise Moore.
