I originally received a phone call saying that I won $850,000 however I would need to put $5000.00 on a prepaid credit card to confirm I could pay the taxes. I told the caller that I was not going to do that and hung up. I then received a letter and fake check in the mail which I have attached. Instructing me that I have placed 2nd place in the USA Mega and the investment company that sent the letter has been assigned by the international sweepstakes organization to inform me about winning and send payment. The check was totaling $3,700 and it was to help me to pay the processing fee of $2,250 and that I needed to contact a claims agent to activate the check. Once activated then I was instructed to deposit the check and call the claims agent again.
