I was online applying for remote job. On CareerBuilder. The company Thyssenkrupp Engineering set up an interview on zoom. And the next day I received the job offer with the job offer they stated that they will send me a check for $9720 for the equipment that I would need to do my job. I never received that check but I just recently received a check for $4500. They asked me to send a deposit slip to check. It’s been cash to a email department call the accounting department. The check address is at a location in Pennsylvania at a jelly jar shop I they use PNC routing number for the check. I never cashed the check. I still have the letter that came with the check , please advise what should I do?
