I was trying to purchase three NFC championship watch party tickets at Ford field day Thursday January 24, 2024 as I was trying to purchase the tickets online with my personal debit card. This was a high demand event so for some reason Ticketmaster kept bumping me out saying that I had to try a new seat so at this point it just kept doing it so I called Ticketmaster customer service to get a little assistance, when I called the number someone answered and just said hello it sound like a automatic system it sound legit so after I said hello is someone there they say hi thank you for choosing Ticketmaster how can I help you OK so I felt like I’m in the right direction so I was explaining to the individual and I have his number and his name as well. I was explaining to him that I was trying to purchase three tickets and the system kept bumping me out. He said that since the event is high demand you have to go and get a Ticketmaster card to purchase tickets to Ticketmaster and I said and thought about it like I never had to do that before and I explained it to him like I never heard of this. I never had do that before he said that because for this particular event that’s how they doing it so I said OK no problem. How do I go about that to get a Ticketmaster card? I don’t have a Ticketmaster debit card so he said if you don’t have a Ticketmaster debit card, you can purchase a target gift card or a gift card to add money on it to use for the purchase he told me that to go to any close store and add the money on there and he will walk me through the process OK so I went to Dollar General and I purchased an apple card I put $300 on an Apple Card. He was on the phone with me the whole entire time , so he explained to me on his end he have to purchase it on his end so we went through that he got the gift card number and said the tickets were purchased. I should be receiving an email within five minutes to accept my tickets. He said if the email don’t come through go to your Ticketmaster app login and your ticket should be there. I said OK I said there for about 10 minutes. I kept refreshing my email kept refreshing my email no tickets I called the number back they answered. I explained to him hey I don’t know what’s going on no tickets and I don’t think this the way how you handle business because I end up taking matters in my own hand, I end up getting the real Ticketmaster number and the lady said we were never advised anyone to go buy a gift card to purchase tickets. We only accept debit or credit cards throughout site , so that’s how I knew at that very moment I was scammed I was calling 800 number back multiple times it’s a automatic system that prompt you like Ticketmaster, but it was not the real Ticketmaster so I kept getting a runaround I kept talking to like five different people I kept calling. I’ve been calling back for two days trying to get my money back then the end individual claim has to be the manager or why not say it to me in order for me to get my money back I will have to purchase another gift card add another $300 to my Apple account so they can refund the money. I told them no they don’t make sense you just trying to get more money out of me so after two days later, I will still calling the number back they stop answering the individual who I spoke with who prompt me through all the steps. He gave me a number to call back that number isn’t active but I have two numbers that I’ve been talking with the company.
