TicketSmarter - WOW! HUGE Scammers! AVOID THEM!!!

Short Story - Very complex site that looks legit where I was referred to by my Credit Card (Chase) for cash back, but upon further research I found a LOT of deception. Avoid them and stay safe!

LONG Story - I was going to get my Daughter and son-in=law some tickets for Christmas. Ticket prices can be outrageous these days, so I looked for some way to save. My Chase Credit card showed a 10% cashback if I bought through TicketSmarter, so I followed the link. My Daughter mentioned she liked a band called Sleep Token, so we both went looking for tickets and seats she might like, and that I could afford. I sent her the Link to TicketSmarter as that was the site I could get a 10% cashback from Chase. She found some seats (See image), so I went to look on MY computer. Look at the price difference! Hers showed she could get the EXACT, SAME seats for $197.00 each, while MY screen showed them at $229.00 each. I'd be paying MORE than 10% more for the same seats. We were looking at them AT THE SAME TIME. I decided to look in a different browser and it showed them at $197.00 as well. Seems like a bit of a scam, and trying to compensate for the Chase's 10% discount. I went back an hour later on MY ORIGINAL browser, and YUP, that STILL showed them at a higher price. SO now my Daughter and I decide to look elsewhere, even on the Sleep Token site. Sleep Tokens site had links and messages that the tickets would go on sale IN TWO DAYS. Even other ticket sites were advertising the tickets would go on sale 12/8/2023. So, how can TicketSmarter POSSIBLY have the tickets for sale 2 or more days earlier? Do your own research, but I NEVER would trust these deceptive scalpers/scammers.

I couldn't post the images here to show the shady workings I mentioned, but I did post them on a review I posted on sitejabber as proof of their deceptive business practices.

Tickets not delivered took advantage of senior/disabled veteran

My SO purchased very expensive tickets for the MLB all star game and kept waiting to get the tickets. Even when corresponding he was getting no direct answer. He is a disabled veteran and had to make accommodations for places to stay, parking, etc. the day before the event he had to cancel the accommodations as he still didn’t have the tickets and didn’t want to lose more money. He asked about them again. The next day- day of the event- his tickets were sent but it was too late to travel the 4 hours to get there. They refused to refund when he asked because he got the tickets “before” the event. When we wrote to them letting them know he couldn’t get there in time they said it was not their problem and we’re quite rude in their response to him via phone. Completely disgusted with the disrespectful unprofessional attitude. This is no way to treat a disabled veteran, I would say BEWARE to any veteran who may consider using this site. They are a giant scam.

They will not send you tickets but just want your money. It is nothing but a scam and the website needs to be shutdown

Scammed day of event

I had bought tickets October 1st 2021. Never received tickets on or before the event on January 19 2022. Seller kept claiming the tickets were going to be sent in “10-15 mins” repeatably. They never were. When I did receive an email that the tickets had been processed- they had already been claimed by another customer. My seller had tried calling and made excuses as to why the seats had now changed due to covid restrictions. Not only were they completely different tickets, he changed them TWICE on me using the phrase “ I am upgrading your tickets”. There customer service representative was sent conversations I had with the seller and had also made phone to the seller as well. The customer service representative acknowledged I had been sent a fake URL to my email and that MY tickets had already been claimed by someone else. I made SEVERAL phone calls along with emails and chats trying to resolve this issue so I would be able to attend the event. I had purchased these tickets for my mother’s birthday and was completely let down. She had flown in and had got a hotel - to an event we could not go to due to the incompetence of this company and them using untrustworthy “sellers”. Did TicketSmarter acknowledge that the seller had scammed me? Yes. Did they acknowledge that the seller trying to change my seats not only once but twice was in not in compliance with how they conduct business? Yes. Was I refunded? Yes. Was I ever compensated for my mothers travel expenses and hotel costs and her birthday gift now being non existent. NO. I had requested for at least a future credit to an event of our choosing or to be reimbursed for her travel expenses and they said they couldn’t do that. So not only did we wait months to NOT receive tickets for an event, we spent more than what we got back to attend an event we never got tickets for. Absolutely disappointed and after reading reviews I am realizing I am one out of tons that had an issue with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO PURCHASE TICKETS.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Even their name is designed to fool you into thinking that your on "Ticketmaster". If you get the insurance you need to provide a Dr note to get your money back. The customer service sucks and they don't try to help you (or even respond to you at all). They say they price match but they don't.To many Hidden charges to much up sale. And the website is very glitchy.

On 9/21/19 I tried to purchase two tickets to a live concert in paso robles, ca 3 hours before show through ticketsmarter.com. After making the purchase I checked my email for purchase confirmation and there was no purchase confirmation. No tickets were sent, nothing from the website. I checked my bank and I was charged $134. I called to get a refund and was told the money would be refunded as there must have been a glitch during purchase which made sense because I didnt receive a ticket purchase confirmation. Well two days later the money was never put back in my account and after trying to call them for answers I was lied to and laughed at and told not to call them back. They reiterated to me that they dont offer refunds. Well, they dont offer tickets either. I never received a single email containg any information regarding purchase. Bank statement shows TicketSmarter as "Tickets" and their phone number as 866-237-6204 and theyre located in CT.
