Alex Vargas from Timeless Creation Films contacted me through email telling me they wanted me to model for a Russian clothing company that was moving to the United states from Russia. His email signature looked legit.....it had a number, website and location. I googled the locations of the NY and LA headquarters and both addresses were located on the street next to buildings...When I started asking Alex questions such as references, photos from past shoots he started getting really snappy. He sent me a contract from the clothing company La Redoute and told me I would be getting paid $500 before the shoot as a booking fee and $6,000 right after the shoot. He wouldn't provide a location we were shooting at.....He sent me a check of $4,850.10 and told me I need to deposit it keep $500 as my booking fee and send the remaining to the wardrobe stylist. When I got the check I called the bank listed on it, I explained the situation and gave them the check number where they then confirmed the check is not from that bank. I then contacted Alex and let him know I found it was a fake check. He told me to rip it up and they would pay me the day of shoot....Haven't heard from him since. His contact number through text it 6469483781. The number to his company on his email signature is 800 351 6770 EXT 3. The address in his email signature is 882 Seventh Ave New York, NY 10019. The name and address of the person who sent me the check is Peggy Miner 1703 Alvira St Los angeles CA 90035. Stay safe out there future models!
