First I was called from 818-658-1908 by a company called Home Solutions claiming to be from the CA government regarding home improvement with Timeless Construction, LIC 1034265, 6945 Van Nuys, CA 91405, 424-384-4444, [email protected]. I scheduled a visit with Manny G. who came out and offered a one-time deal of $15,910 to replace my AC/heater. This deal would disappear if I didn't sign up immediately, otherwise it would cost $21,010. This deal also required 1) the company sign be posted on my lawn for 30 days 2) a 5 star Yelp review 3) I pass out their business cards. Manny had realistic looking biz literature and a "home improvement contract". He asked for a $1,000 deposit and said someone would be on 3 days later to measure and get a check for $200 for the permit. I looked up the company on BBB.org and Manny lied about having a C-20 A/C install license, the company had general license which was under the president's name. I suspect plumbing and roofing scams too.
