Scammer Kevin Price called and offered to sell my weeks but I had to pay the activation fee of $399 per week. He took the money and nothing has happened. This happened May 2024. I have reached out via email and phone call. Been told that a turn around will happen soon. After numerous attempts, they will not call me back and will not give me a refund. It’s a total scam.

The company called and offered to purchase timeshare in Mexico. The offer price was extremely high and sounded too good to be true. They want you to sign a offer letter before providing a purchase agreement. They wanted to use their own title agency in Chicago. When I mentioned I would show the offer letter to an attorney, they tried to convince me not too. The lady I was contacted by was called by a supposed broker Ms. Lisa Corte. There was no DNB number associated with the company.

I was offered $164,554.95 for a single 7-night, all-inclusive, resort stay at my choice of numerous locations. It was probably free to me for going to a timeshare, but DEFINITELY not worth more than $10k. I just needed to send them the money for the Mexican (where the alleged buyer allegedly lives) S.A.T Registration Number: Cost: $6,656.95.

Was contacted by a person claiming to be Joel P Barrett, Broker to buy our vacation club membership. Was told that we would set up a trust and the money for the sale of the membership would be deposited into the trust for a week before we signed over our membership. After investigating the broker, he is using the name of a legitimate broker. I reached out to the "real" Joel P Barrett and he confirmed that it was not him trying to broker the sale of our vacation club membership. After investigating the trust company, they do not exist.

The scammer posed as a real-estate representative looking to see if I would sell my timeshare in MX. The inquired about the location of the property, type of unit, # of weeks I owned, ownership status/term, and my Annual Maintenance fees. They indicated they would buy my timeshare from me and get back to my w/in 24 hours with a written offer. An agent of the firm called me on behalf of his sales mgr offering $XX,XXX for my timeshare and asked if I received the email yet. I hadn't but told him I would look for it. I did receive the email and it literally mirrored what the other person said their email indicated. It all seems to good to be true .

I received a phone call from a man named David Perez who asked if I had a Time Share I would like to sell. I said I did in Loreto, Mexico. He said he had buyers who might want to buy it. He said they use them for rental properties or tax write-offs. He asked me to send him by email my contract. I was ill and not able to deal with this right away. I received several more phone calls from him and then by email an offer to purchase my timeshare for $49,000. I only paid about $10,000 for it in February 2011. I was surprised at such a high offer. He indicated values have gone up. I called my timeshare company and they describe similar scams for people wanting to buy time shares. She said if I accept their offer then there are fees they request. I have not provided any of my timeshare information to this company. It is Worldwide Connect Realty Inc. in New York. Mr. Perez said he is licensed in New York and sent me details. He is listed as a Salesperson with license number40PE1012313. The offer was in my estimation too good to be true for a studio for one week every other year.

The representative called and sounded very professional - more so than other people who call to "purchase" our timeshare. However, just like others who have gotten phone calls from this company, the offer was too good to be true. I was ready to send the information they requested but something was telling me to do some research first. That is where I found others who mentioned this same company and/or scenario. Like other have said.....if it's sounds too good to be true it probably is.

The "offer" we received was as follows: "This email is pertaining to your phone conversation with one of our representatives. As he informed you, Worldwide Realty Inc is currently

gathering real estate vacation memberships and fractional ownerships in the top invested areas of the United States, Mexico and

overseas.

In order for us to begin the sales process, please carefully verify that all of the information below pertaining to your ownership

is correct.: ################ ################ ############### ###############

If you find this offer appealing and decide to sell your vacation membership, please sign this Letter of Intent and return it to us via email

along with a voided copy of the coversheet contract of your membership.

Keep in mind by signing this document, you are not committing nor obligated to sell.

Your representative Robert Miller at 646-647-8737 ext. 101 will be providing assistance to keep you informed with the updates regarding

this acquisition."

This company, with two contact people, David Perez and Patrick Neelan ( not sure of spelling) working with a trust company, A trusted name, Llc, Alexander Rossi as contact….made an offer out of the blue for a timeshare I own in Loreto, Mexico. Once the trust company asked me to file a form to establish a fidecomiso for the property, which yes costs money and is NOT a trust to hold money as in the USA, I knew they were a scam and I assumed the money I would have to pay for the “fidecomiso form” would be theirs and lost from me.

Approached with an initial phone call to sell our timeshare. Then followed by a proposal to buy our timeshare for a higher than expected price. Today had another phone call and rather pushy to get in touch with my husband. They know timeshare was sold to another company and appeared to have most facts about it correct, but it's public information so we don't know if this is legit or scam.
