I got an ad on Instagram for a sitewide TomboyX sale. When I clicked the link, it took me to forgetsive.com, not tomboyx.com. I clicked around the site, which featured real TomboyX products with pictures and descriptions copied from the TomboyX site, and it looked very similar. The products were all $1 - $5 in price, which is a steep discount from their normal pricing ($20+ for 1 item). I didn't realize I wasn't on the real Tomboyx site until I placed my order and received a confirmation email. The email came from [email protected] and looked strange to me. My order number included "forgetsive" in it, and the contact info for the vendor was just the forgetsive email address, with no mailing address. I typed my name, email address, phone number, home address, and credit card information into this fake site.
