Installed new garage door motor. Not cheap 2 days later we noticed door not closing straight. Asked them to come fix. They came and offered to put in new springs for 500+. I told them they broke it but they refused to correct and were annoyed we didn’t go for the ‘2nd’ service charge. Total fugazy

When my garage door stalled on me on October 26th due to a wear -and- tear of the pulling cable I researched on Google for a garage door replacement company. Among many there was the company Same Day Garage Door Repair that informed me that a technician can reach my place in a few hours - from 5pm- 8pm. The technician came at 7pm and talked me out of replacing the door and advised that I have to replace the springs and cables, and also two pulleys needed to be replaced. Eden, the name of a technician from Tom's garage door (as I learned later) told me that he will give me the lowest price in NJ for the work and will finish it in one hour. He asked to pay cash for Tax purposes because his supervisor asked him for. I paid him in Bank Check- $859. I asked for an itemized receipt and was told that his supervisor will send it to me.

After two hours work was finished. Next morning I found that the cables were off the pulleys, a door wasn't coming down to the ground. I called 1-888-732-0676 (Same Day Garage Door Repair Company that still is guaranteed by Google) asking for remediation. On October 30th, Eden, came back and after 4 hours of attempts to fix the issue(from 7-11pm) garage doors were in worse shape than before. He called his supervisor Tom.

Tom and I met on November 1st. I asked again for the itemized receipt and Cost Repair Spreadsheet.

Tom over the phone promised that he would bring the receipt when he see me. He didn't. Then, I asked him via text message (ph#908-251-8750) to provide me with a receipt. The answer was that he already sent it (that is not true), but he will resend it(didn't happen). I called and he told me not to call him anymore.

My check was deposited on October 28th at Bank of America via cell phone.

Summary:

-Tom's Garage Door has not provided me with a receipt as I asked. I have a strong conviction that this business has been defrauding the IRS asking for cash payments and refusing to provide customers with a receipt;

-Employee of Tom's, Eden, together with Tom have been misleading the customers, overcharging them and taking no responsibilities for wrong doing;

-beside operating independently they use the telecom company Same Day Garage Door Repair (888)732-0676 to send them the repair requests.

Please, look into this company's dealings and stop them defrauding the citizens of the State of New Jersey.
