My husband and I are looking for a Beagle puppy. We found out that puppies are just available in Garden Grove, CA on AKC website, so we contacted the breeder for detail information using the phone number left on the website. The breeder instructed us to deposit $500 via Zelle to secure a puppy. We followed the instructions and sent the breeder of $500, but the breeder claimed the transaction was never went through and it didn't show up in his account. He promised us that he will hold on a puppy for us until the next day (wait for the transaction going through). When we tried to contact the breeder the next morning, he was not responsive anymore. We believe we became a victim of a puppy scam.
