At first, they used the free stuff app and redirected it to Facebook marketplace. After getting in touch with a Facebook page, they were using this lady’s Facebook page and acting like she was the sister of the woman giving the piano away because of her husband dying and she was moving to Canada. And I had to redirect to a moving company website and then I gave them my name and email and phone number and my address because “they had to have that to know how much to charge me to move the piano to my location” and then I got messaged by random number that I provided for you all and then after researching it because I knew something didn’t feel right. I told the person on the phone number and email address that they were scammers to not contact me again. I can try to find out more information about them for you all. I’m a single mother of 3 and glad I caught this before I gave up my bank account to them.

Same thing. Someone posted a very nice Yamaha piano and when I inquired, they said their sister recently lost her husband and was hoping to rehome his piano before moving to Canada. When I emailed the sister as instructed, she asked me to contact the moving company as the piano was already on the van and on its way out of the country. They told me I would have to pay for the reroute. I googled the company and found this ScamPulse.com story of the EXACT same story so I knew it was too good to be true. Scam!
