I received a call from a person from Total Mediation. They stated that they were trying to collect money from a cash advance loan. I asked them when the loan was taken out and they said 2019. I told them that I didn't remember that far back if I took out a loan. They said it was when I worked at a job (and they told me the job name) that I worked at in 2019 and they told me my bank at the time in 2019 and told me they had the last four of my social security number. And they were correct about all of that information. I asked how much the amount of the loan was and they said the original amount of the loan was $1,050 but they could have me pay half of that today ($550) and the matter would go away. I told them that I didn't have that money until I got paid next and they said if I didn't start paying us today they would take this matter to court. They also used my maiden name and not my current legal last name.

The phone number 640-220-0970 has been reaching out to multiple family members leaving messages for me to call them regarding a complaint in my county and how they are going to garnish my wages. I used to work for attorneys so I know the drill when it comes to filing complaints and garnishing wages. The people have accents. I wound up calling that number back and the same woman answered the three times that I called. Her name is Andrea Burgards (at least that is what the last name sounded like). She refused to give me information and kept asking me for the last 4 digits of my SSN which I, of course, refused to give. She also asked me to confirm month and year of birth 7/1988 which is not my DOB and I did not confirm either. I told her that they are scamming people and that what they are doing is illegal. She started to get loud on the phone and I hung up on her. Before I hung up, I told her to take me off of their call list. She proceeded to call my sister twice after I had that conversation but my sister did not answer and blocked the number. I called again and the same person answered. I told her that after I specifically told her to remove me from their call list, she goes and calls trying to find me again. I again asked for further information and she refused and hung up on me when I would not confirm my last 4 of my SSN. I called soon after and this time a "receptionist" by the name of Lay answered and I told her that she is the same person that I just spoke with. She claimed no, that was someone else. I asked Lay to provide me with their company information and that I wanted to speak to the owner. She said that they have 40 remote locations (red flag) and when she was going to transfer me to the "assigned person" handling the account I said no thank you and again I told them to take me off of their call list and that I told her that I was going to report them and I hung up on her cause she started arguing as well.
