The tactic of TOW PROS INC. scam is to misrepresent themselves as a company that work with your insurance company; even as far as going to state that [they/TOW PROS INC.] will tow your vehicle straight to where your insurance company can assess the state of the vehicle; with the scam in my case being that TOW PROS INC. did not work for my insurance company; yet said that they worked with them all the time; and would tow my vehicle straight to [them/my insurance company]--when instead, the tower from TOW PROS INC towed my vehicle to a lot that do not even have a building associated with the landmark; and then when my insurance company contacted TOW PROS INC. to send out an adjuster; TOW PROS INC. denied them access to the vehicle yet demanded a ransom figure of over $******** for the return of my vehicle--even though the vehicle was acquired by the tower from TOW PROS INC. providing false and misleading information; which if anyone read the Illinois Vehicle Code; is a clear violation of the rights of the vehicle operator; just as the tower from TOW PROS INC. did not place the destination to where the vehicle was to be towed on the invoice; which per the invoice as well as the Illinois Vehicle Code is another violation; which renders collecting any compensation for the tow, null, void, and unenforceable--which was all reported to the Illinois Commerce Commission; yet what I thought was a powerful agency that was supposed to advocate for people of the public in matters like this; seem to me to be unable to do anything; which led to me reaching out to the State's Attorney; which I am still awaiting the reply of--while in the meanwhile; a legal entity that reviewed the documents I had concerning this scam advised me to report the vehicle stolen--and I was able to do so; because I found out that a tow company has 30 minutes to report to the city police that they have towed a vehicle and report all information about the vehicle and the company that has the vehicle; and it has been months; and no such report has been made; which proves that TOW PROS INC. performed an unauthorized tow; did not advise the driver of the truth of the matter; did not provide the factual and necessary information of the destination of the vehicle; presented false and misleading information; and held the vehicle for ransom. The situation is working its way on to be resolved; yet has been very financially damaging. To hear the audio of the scamming incident in progress; I have made a YouTube video; and will provide the url. I urge anyone who is scammed like this or in any other way to make a way to post whatever can be posted in real-time concerning the scam online--where urls are very powerful--and footage from any dash-cam, body-cam, or audio from any recorder that may be available; can be used to either catch criminals; or show people in real time how they operate; so people know to beware. For example; in my case; my wife and I agreed to record eachother calls to resolve other disputes; and the audio of the tower from TOW PROS INC. scamming us was picked up on the call--but while it was happening; neither one of us knew it was a scam; because we only found out that something was wrong when TOW PROS INC. told our insurance company that nobody could access the vehicle until a balance totaling over $******** was paid in full; as the tower from TOW PROS INC. never told my wife who was operating the vehicle at the time of the scam how much the tow service would cost; with the only figure he mentioned being what we much later found out to be a fabricated figure of $*****--which led to my wife and I questioning our insurance company about TOW PROS INC. just to find out that TOW PROS INC. lied about working with our insurance company and everything else as well.
