Ad was listed for motor home on Facebook. Ad link took me to repo company page. I have purchased a vehicle from auction previously so the steps to complete a profile that includes uploading drivers license and selfie were normal. During a proxy bid there is a verification step when placing a bid. This did not have that which was a red flag. I began investigating and after a quick internet search realized this may be a scam. I called the building management where they claim to be a tenant and they verified there is no such tenant. I removed all personal information from profile except email address. then sent a message to the “company” alerting them that they are a scam and that they were being reported. I placed a fraud alert on credit as well. I have multiple screenshots that I can provide.
