I was in contact with a lady on Facebook that was selling a puppy I was interested in. She sent me photos and videos of the puppy and said I needed to make a deposit which was $550 total and a $240 shipping fee because she was based in Michigan and I in Texas. I gave her the money through Zelle and PayPal and she set up the delivery of the dog and I was sent the confirmation email by the shipping company named Global Deliveries. The puppy was scheduled to be delivered on 4/26/24 by 11am and then kept getting delayed. I was emailing the shipping company and the breeder lady about what was going on and why it kept getting postponed and the shipping company started saying I needed to pay all these fees for a crate, insurance, state permit papers, state tax papers, feeding, and etc and that it would all be refunded upon delivery of the puppy. I would send them the money and then they kept saying that delivery was proceeding and it was taking time to get the papers processed. They changed the delivery to be at 2pm then 6pm. It is now 4/27/24 and they said I would get the puppy today by 12pm but it is now almost 3pm. They said I would only get the puppy if I sent them an additional $1500 which would be partially refunded upon delivery today. I kept asking them to cancel the delivery and to give me my money back and they would say no that refund is only available upon delivery but that I need to pay that fee first.
