Trademark Renewal Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

I received calls and text messages from an individual named Chris Lee. He presented himself as an IP attorney. He attempted to have me renew a logo that I have never used. I explained that I have not used the originally designed logo because I never operationalized my LLC. The same call and situation occurred last year around the same time. He ignored my statement and continued to insist that I renew the logo or I would face infringement penalties starting at $75,000. He explained that if I opted to sign what was called a Closure Letter, it would cost me money to do so. I asked that the information be emailed to me. He then asked me if the credit card "on file" could be used to cover the cost of renewal. He refused to listen and continued to offer me pricing options to renew. His text messages threatened to sue me; sent harassing messages such as "I'll make you sell your property. I'm the man of my words". I have the text messages saved. He identifies himself in the text messages as an IP attorney named Chris Lee.
