I was given an application for employment and selected a time for a phone interview. I completed the phone interview, which was VERY brief and very general, and did not ask details about my skills or qualifications. The following day I was sent an Employment Agreement. After reading the document carefully and having my husband review it as well, it seemed legit, so I signed the agreement and returned it. I was informed I could start my first stage of training, which was to create a Bitcoin wallet. This felt reasonable since the company dealt in cryptocurrency and my presence on the platform would be necessary to monitor customer feedback. However, where the red flags really went up was the second stage of training. I was told the company would be sending me an e-mail money transfer which I was then to cash out of my bank a count and despite into a bitcoin ATM, and I would then transfer the Bitcoin back to the company via the platform. This is money laundering. When I told them I was not comfortable doing this through my personal bank account, they insisted it was a normal paet of the training. I have heard of other such scams and refused to move forward. I was then told I was "refusing education and the money you rely on". Sorry, but I am not laundering money for anyone. These cryptocurrency employment scams are everywhere now. Never move money through your personal bank account!
