In March of 2024, my aunt who just migrated to the US was encouraged to take a HHA class. The course was said to conclude in one month with classes taken Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. What was promised at the conclusion of the course was for everyone to receive a certificate and be registered with the board so that everybody would be eligible for job placement. My aunt went to the class every day and did what she was told including buy scrubs as this was said to be a mandatory part of the course. The course concluded and as of August 2024 she has yet to receive her certificate. No one in her class received their certificates, my aunt and her classmates have been going to the office frequently since then to find out what has been going on with their certificates and ultimately asking for a refund. The lady that initially took my aunt’s payment has been nowhere to be found her name is Roselaure Pluviose. It seems like this is a trend for this company targeting the Haitian migrants looking to better themselves in a new country who are putting their trust into these organizations that they believe are helping them but are being scammed instead.
