I answered an online add about Rottweiler puppies for sale. I picked my puppy and the seller told me he registered the puppy with the shipping company and payment arrangements were made of 300.00 for the puppy and 200.00 for shipping. The seller then sent me a tracking number and a link to the website. The transportation company told me that because their online cc site was down that I would need to send a wire transfer and gave me the info on who to send it to. I did that and tracked our puppy who was in an active status. Then I received an email stating the puppy needed pet insurance of 1000.00 which we would receive back with delivery of the puppy. The seller agreed to pay half and on payday I sent via wire transfer 500.00. Suddenly the seller couldn't come up with his portion so I borrowed 500.00 from my boss and sent the money via wire transfer. The next morning I checked status and it was active and that the puppy was in Colorado Springs. About 4:30 the puppy went to an inactive status and I received after calling the only phone number I had and getting nowhere and sending about 20 emails I find in my junk folder a letter from the transportation company stating the puppy was seized by the vet because he was showing signs of canine influenza and that to be able to make it on a plane he would need shots to talking 1000.00 but that the transportation company would pay 400.00 of it and we would have to pay 600.00 and gave me more wire transfer instructions. It was then I realized we were being scammed. I have a ton of emails and a screen picture of the puppy showing inactive in Colorado Springs. I will have to have my daughter help me put it all in a file.
