Type of a scam Credit Cards
Paid .99c for a credit report? Got an email telling me I signed up for $24.95/month credit monitoring from Transunion. I did not do this.. I called to cancel and got an email with this language which I find threatening or extortive!
"Make your TransUnion report off-limits to thieves with 1-touch Credit Lock??
Your credit report will be unlocked after your subscription ends. If you have other TransUnion services, please log into those services to re-lock your report."
If I don't pay, do they sell, or release my credit? Sounds like yes. I want to be assured/guaranteed they cannot sell or release my credit info and know they cannot use this language.
