I received a phone call asking is I was interested in additions to my Medicare Plan that would be at no cost to me. I accepted the phone call and was transferred first to someone who asked for the same information as the first caller (name, DOB, etc.) I gave them my name and "over 65" as my age. I was then transferred to a Tranzact agent in SC named John (he gave his name very fast and I did not catch his last name nor did I ask for it again. I asked if he was an independent agent for Tranzact and was representing other companies. He gave me a list of several companies that he represented. He then asked for my name - I gave my name to him. Next he asked for my DOB -

I told him I was over 65. He began to argue with me saying that he had to have my DOB or he could not help me. The important thing is that I did not know what he was looking for in order to help me. All he wanted was vital information that I was not willing to give until I knew how he was going to help me and what he would be searching for to complete that process. He was rude, would not listen to what I had to say, interrupted me and finally hung up on me. I would have been compliant if I had been given more information before he began his interrogation of me - for example, telling me what the process was and how it would help me. Therefore, all I can assume is that all he wanted is vital information so he could scam me. I am very angry.
