Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
organization who, in turn,make the actual booking. The most disturbing part of this is that they also tell people there are no rooms available at the host hotel and proceed to book them at other hotel - typically this happens when we contact them. We have had our legal counsel We have had people charged large sums and with no recourse.
Hotel room blocks are held as part of a contractual agreement for a convention --- when rooms are booked outside the block, or
more importantly booked at other hotels, our organization does loses the credit for those rooms which affects attrition obligations.
Their practice of using a wholesaler as part of the scheme in order to book the rooms ensures that the victim has no direct recourse
with them. It is my understanding that no one who complained was able to obtain a refund. There also appears to be some connection to a group in Thailand, using the same name.
We have had our legal counsel send a cease and desist letter, but it does no good - they've come back every single year for the past
four years and other than warning our members, there is little recourse. This group needs to be stopped - they are not an accredited
travel agency and use the services of others
