Somehow, the scammer added an extra flight to my Expedia booking. It was already showing up on my husband's credit card. When I tried to call Expedia, I had a very difficult time finding their toll-free number. The number I called to report this first was an 860 area code, which was Connecticut. I assume since that's where my flight was going out of that it was OK. The person that I spoke to at that time claimed he could do nothing about it because it was an airline procedure to not refund that particular booking. I told him I didn't choose that particular flight and it was not at the time of the day that I had chosen. I wanted a email address to report this and he told me he would send me a link but that he wanted me to have a representative call me and I specifically said no. An hour or so later I received the call that said it was from Midland, Texas. I did not answer it. They called again. I did not answer it, but he left a message that said he wanted to work with me about refunding my extra flight And that's how it all started. He convinced me to stay on the phone for a very long time at that point, my husband called his credit card from his phone and they were already trying charge gift cards to his account. My complaint to Expedia is they don't have a very user-friendly site when there is a problem like this. No visible 800 number on their app so that I can call and speak to someone legitimately. By my husband recognizing there might be a problem, he immediately called his credit card. If we hadn't, I'm sure that they would've taken a lot more money, but they didn't get away with taking any however, I still have a charge for the extra flight and I really want to speak with a representative from Expedia that I can understand in all due respect, that I can trust
