HERTZ RENTAL CAR SCAM -888-609-1503

Hertz rent car scam. Answered the phone as Steven. The number I called to rent a car was
888-609-1503 or 202-643-5362.
They said they are running 50% off for American Express or gift card users.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM!

Needed a rental car and googled number for enterprise. I found the number online for Enterprise which was: 888-609-1503. The names they answered were "Eric" and "Mac" and also a woman. They said there was a promotion going on, and that to rent a car, I needed to get a gift card for $420 and send them that information. They also needed my license number, which I gave them. I purchased the gift card and did so. They called me back from this number: 267-793-0101 and they said there was an issue with my license and that I needed to also give them an additional $300. Luckily, I couldn't purchase another gift card, so did not purchase it. THIS IS A SCAM. They took the money off the card, and this was not a car rental service, definitely not Enterprise.
