Type of a scam Travel/Vacation/Timeshare
The next day, I received phone calls from (888) 355-6168, which I didn't answer, so they left a voice message telling me her name was "Paris J******" at "Extension 6." She called back again the next morning and said that the airfare went down by $50/ticket. She wanted to help me get the cheapest airfare, so she wanted my permission to send me a link where I could re-enter my credit card information to get the cheaper airfare. She said not to hang up because she would stay on the phone with me while I clicked on the new link in my email to finish the transaction.
When I told her that I was outside and couldn't do it right then, she told me that I could just tell her my full credit card number over the phone, and she would do it for me. When I got suspicious, she told me the correct last 4 digits of the credit that I had already used, and said that she just needs the full credit card number to re-process the order at the cheaper rate. When I told her "Never mind, I'm okay paying the higher rate," she started to get more aggressive and kept insisting. I eventually just hung up on her.
However, she called again, and I didn't pick up and also blocked the phone #: (888) 355-6168.
At this point, I'm not sure if the whole company of "Farescounty.com" is the scamming company,
or if the people at (888) 355-6168 just somehow got a hold of our airline ticket order and private info.
When I looked online, I saw other people with complaints about both the company and the phone number listed above, so I'm inclined to think that "Farescounty.com" is a scamming company.
