I was stopped to inquire about a dead tree, which Mr Anthony priced me $1500 to cut the tree down. I called about a month later. He came and cut half the tree down, and never returned to finish the job. I have been calling and texting for him to finish the job and every time his response is sorry I’ll be there this evening. He never shows

My husband called this company on 12/17/24 to come out and cut down a tree in out back yard. He came out on the 12/18/24 to look at the tree, told my husband it would be 1000.00 to cut the tree down. My husband told him to just cut the tree down and put it to the curb. The gentlemen said that he could not put the branches/tree at the curb because he would be charged a fee by the city. So my husband ask him to remove them. He told my husband that he could do that and that he would need 220 to get the truck to remove the branches/tree. So my husband gave him the 220. So as of right now he has 1220.00 of our money. He then cut down some branches off the tree with another person helping him, and then left my house. He said nothing to my husband about leaving. Then it took almost 2 hours to finally get ahold of him to ask what happened, why did he leave. He then proceed to say he was at lowes gettin the lift and the truck, to finish the tree in our backyard. He claimed to have the truck reserved for 1:30pm that day, but he need $220 more for the deposit for the truck. The truck never showed up at 1:30, he then said he had reserved the truck for 10am but need the $220. We called him to ask why he need another 220 if he already had the truck coming at 10am the next day. He didn't answer our calls untill late afternoon. We just told him that we would speak to him in the morning (12/19/24). Got ahold of him in the morning and he still said the same thing that he needed the $220 for the truck. My husband told him he needed to come and finish cutting the tree down, it was incomplete. The gentlemen said that he needed that truck with the lift to finish it, and he will finish we he can. We told him that he can bring the truck and complete it, then we will give him the $220. It was alot of back and forth, so we just told the gentlemen to give us some of our money back and we will find someone else. We told him he can keep 400 for him and the other guy that came out to help him but we needed 820. We just want our money back. Our yard is left a mess with branches laying everywhere.

Ace came over to remove a tree, I paid for the removal and gave a deposit towards a pressure washing that was supposed to happen the same day. When I came back out after paying him $300 for the tree removal and $25 deposit towards the pressure wash, he had left without contacting me. After several calls and texts he said he didnt have correct equipment and he would be back tomorrow. He didnt come back and he didnt answer my calls. He did not remove the stump from the tree as he was paid to do. I reached out to another person who gave me his information who said he did the same to them. He said he was ScamPulse.com certified and licensed and bonded but I cant find the information saying that.

A person knocked on my door but I was in a work meeting so I couldn't answer. The individual left a card that reads "Dead tree in front/side needs removed. Per City."

The tree is old, and not very tall. Also, it is currently covered in green leaves, and is decidedly not dead. I did some research and I can't find any city ordinance that requires tree removal even if it was dead. Even if there was a city ordinance, the city does not inform a homeowner by leaving a private business's card in my mailbox.

Identical story as above in VB. He came door to door in the neighborhood handing out flyers, and seemed like a nice enough guy at first so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He gives an itemized receipt and started work that same day. Cut down trees, tilled part of the lawn, left to "get more materials/equipment". He asked for deposit and a bit more to cover equipment rentals and dumping fee. Thinking he may just need help starting up his business I gave it to him. But then he kept making up b.s. stories for money, and making ridiculous lies about why they cannot come back to work. Been almost a month since that first day and they never returned once, but he'd been saying they were by the house, cameras showed they were not. All the trees and yard debris left in my yard as well.

"Company" name was AMG Tree & Lawn, imitating another well known companies name in order for people to see the other companies reviews. Guy went by Adrien/Ace, but a quick lookup on him found that's not his real name.

I hired this company to remove 4 trees, cut into firewood & grind the stomp, I made the deposit & he showed up. He cut down the trees, left without telling me & never showed back up. I have tried for 4 months to get the work completed or to refund my money. He gives a date & doesn't show, only gives excuses & a promise of a new work date.

He said he is licensed & insured.

This person came and agreed to take down a tree and get rid of the logs. He then requested more money for a dumping fee because the city would not pick up the logs for free. The person then requested more money each day of work saying it was not enough to cover the dumping fees. Each additional day he came to do work he demanded more money than the initial contract. All trees are left in my yard and it’s a gigantic mess.
