Tried to download a parking app in Miami. The website for the official parking app had a green “download” button that I entered thinking it was going to download the parking app. The app is “PayByPhone”. The button to me to a payment page with no real information about the website other than tiny print at the bottom that it was for streaming entertainment. I had already selected pay when I realized that it wasn’t a payment page for the parking app.

I was able to call and supposedly a refund will be issued and my account deleted. I will follow up with it in a few days as well as cancel that card.

This is a scam and uses deceptive advertising.
