Merwin Bachiller acting under a false alias of Marcus Boleros claimed to be a partner/owner of Trokal Bulldogz. He advertised a French Bulldog on Craigslist. He provided photos and said that the pup was healthy, comes with a free vet check, and a 6 month health guarantee, and a limited AKC registration. We met him on 5/22/2021 to purchase the puppy. We transacted through Venmo and paid him at Trokal Bulldogz. He emailed us the shot records, an AKC vet check-up certificate (which had an error that cited the dog as male), his health guarantee, and the AKC limited registration certificate with transfer form. Within 48 hours of having the puppy she became ill. We took her to the vet on Monday for her wellness exam where the vet prescribed her medication to combat stomach issues. The vet took xrays of her stomach and ran a parvo test. The parvo test came back as faint positives but her symptoms checked all the boxes as her white blood cell count was extremely low. The xray confirmed that she had a Hiatal hernia By Wednesday 5/26/21 we returned as she was vomiting and had diarrhea since her appointment on Monday. The vet then prescribed her a stronger medication and probiotics. By the following day, we had to rush her back to the vet who admitted her. By Friday 5/28 She has been hospitalized on IV fluids, anti-emetics, GI pro-kinetics, electrolytes, and antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection. She still has no interest in food and is having some diarrhea but has not regurgitated or vomited since being hospitalized. According to the vet: Pearl's hydration improved and the medications controlled her vomiting, but she remained lethargic with no appetite and occasional diarrhea. X-rays with barium were done to rule out any intestinal abnormalities. A hiatal hernia was diagnosed on these x-rays. This is a congenital defect where the stomach budges through the diaphragm. This is a serious problem and can cause some vomiting, but does not explain all her symptoms.

Pearl received several days treatment for enteritis and showed no signs of improvement and was euthanized on May 29th.

During all this ordeal, I was in contact with the seller who then refused to honor anything he said regarding replacing the dog and having the breeder pay for the vet bills. Come to find out, he is a fraud who provided a fake name and business name and also falsified AKC documents. He tried to cite his fraudulent health guarantee stating he had a right to receive a second opinion, but he failed to make contact with the vet upon Pearl's admission to make arrangements for transfer. Since our correspondence, he has been hateful and disgusting. I'll be filing a police report too as he is operating under a false business name.
