Call the police if you gave Jim money

Jim Butler is the owner of Trust a Fence and has spent the past few years taking down payments and not doing ANY of his jobs. He came up with every excuse in the book as to why he could not complete them and empty promises that he would be there within a few days.

That day never came and Jim instead declared bankruptcy with funds he obtained fraudulently for services he never completed. He has been arrested twice in the past week.

Trust a Fence provided an estimate and contract for a fence replacement. A deposit for materials was made on July 27 in the amount of $4949.92 with a communicated early September completion date. As the date approached, I contacted the owner and was told he was behind 2 weeks, and we agreed on a new date. This delay and his excuses continued until December 2023 when I asked for a refund. i was told this would take 10 business. days. That passed and I was contacted by the owner and was told its coming. Instead, a two weeks later I received notice the business had filed bankruptcy and I was not listed as a creditor with little change of seeing money returned. JSB committed fraud and while bankruptcy may protect him civil, I will be finial a criminal complete for theft as instructed by my attorney. I encourage others that were scammed by JSB (and based in comments where are several) to do the same.
