When I tried to send payment, thankfully she was foolish and had not set up Zelle to receive payment. So I contacted her and told her that. She then sent me a new name and email address to send payment to. This was texted to me. I told her this new name and email must be in the email correspondence as that serves as our contract of sale. She emailed it.
I was waiting until today to send the payment, but last night she began calling me over and over (after 9 pm CST). I thought this was strange. She said I would lose the puppy if I didn't send the downpayment, and I told her go ahead and sell to someone else. She said she would wait for me to send payment today. During the night, I thought more of our exchange, and red flags popped up. I researched how to identify a puppy scam, then emailed her this morning asking her for a live video call with the puppy, the name of the veterinarian she uses, and informed her I would not be paying via wire transfer or AmEx gift card because I was fearing a scam. She promptly texted back this morning saying she received my email and found another buyer. It was a complete scam.

I didn't send her a dime, but she is running a very good scam and will be reporting this ti FBI, BBB, and online puppy scam observing websites as well. Please shut this down. This is a very cruel scam and she wasted my time, which is money.
