Total money lost $50
Type of a scam Online Purchase
I had a $50 gift card that I used and the total was about $6 for shipping. After I put my information in, ads popped up suggesting I try a few items, in which I thought I skipped. It said continue with purchase. There was never a total amount for charges or anything. I just proceeded but when I tried to proceed, it said "Insufficient funds" I knew the card had not been used and still had $50 on it. I closed out the website assuming something was wrong.
A few minutes later I received a text that said "This is Anna Sims with Truvale. You forgot to complete your checkout.
I didn't go back on the website.
About an hour later I checked the activity on my card and there were 3 charges; one was for $32.99, one for $5.69 and one for $6.29. I know one was for the shipping of the bottle but the other ones were for charges I didn't agree on.
I called the phone number that had texted me and the line was busy. I eventually got through and talked to a woman and she said she'd credit my account and cancel the order except for the free bottle. She even gave me a confirmation number. I continued to check my account and was never reimbursed. I called again this morning and spoke to a very rude gentleman who said he could absolutely not reimburse me. He said he would cancel my subscription (which I never even signed up for).
He said he was a third party customer service and could not credit my account. I emailed the company several times and they don't have any direct information.
The website was truvale.co and the charges came on the account as Behapy.
