I answered a job ad on Facebook for a WAH Data Entry position. The message was answered and I was told to contact a Deb Nielsin on Teams and give them a code ABT=880 to proceed. When I did so, they stated they were the Hiring manager for the company Truveta. They proceeded with the "interview questions" and told me I was hired. They stated the pay rate was $28.37 hr and during training the pay rate was $17.16. That it was a full time employee postition and not an independent contractor position. They provided all the job requirements, description of job duties and sent out an employment offer letter, W4 and I9 to be filled out and returned, which I did.

I was told the equipment for the position would be provided; MacBook Pro 15in, iPad Pro, laminating machine, laserjet printer, paper shredder and a jabra headset. Stated I would be contacted by trainer once equipment was received to continue. After a week or so, I was contacted again on teams asking about social media profiles. I thought was a little odd but a lot of companies look at that stuff now, so, I provided my linkedin profile information. They asked for my linkedin password, stating that the company had to preinstall software and programs used in the job that required this information to be installed before I received it. I stated that I didn't really use that account and that I didn't know what the password was. SO the person I was in contact with started trying to reset the password, as I started getting emails with codes in them. They asked for bank information for payroll purposes. I provided my debit card information and they asked for paypal account email.

This past Friday I got an email from Linkedin saying that I needed to update payment information for my job posting. I can't get into my Linkedin account still, so I certainly didn't make a job listing, I NEED a job not to give one to someone else.

I have canceled the debit card and ordered a new one. I closed the paypal account and have notified Linkedin of the attempted fraud as well.
