I was called by a company and told that 3 years ago I signed an agreement to pay $299 but if I want a refund I needed to let them remove the firewall I previously paid for and then needed to "secure the network". The IT person remoted into my computer to complete a system check. They later called back and continued the process and said I needed to send an email to better business bureau in order to get the refund. I emailed [email protected] my info (name, number, address, phone number, and name of bank) I did not give account numbers. I started to get concerned that the person was still remoted into my computer so I restarted my computer to remove him and then he told me the company was Tu Randi Hoo, this was different from what I was previously told. I'm really concerned these people stole info from my computer. I called and checked accounts and no $299 charge was charged. Is [email protected] an email address of the BBB? This seems that a major scam!
