They got my into off of a reputable website that I had my resume posted. They were looking for a shipping inspector. With my background that seemed to be a good fit. I was leary of the offer at first and did a bit of checking on them but apparently not enough. They had me go through all usual new employee things and then my job was to receive packages at my house, look them over to make sure contents matched what was ordered and then ship it out to wherever the new shipping label said. No cost to me at all except for packing tape to reseal packages and tape on new labels. They were supposed to pay me month;y which I am familiar with having done contract work many times successfully before. Everything was going fine until my appointed payday came when my direct deposit didn't show up. I sent emails to accounting and to my supervisors and got no response. Luckily at the same time I got sick and couldn't ship several packages that I still had. They would call me everyday and request me to ship them when I was sick and I told them that when I felt better I would. After a week went by and I had no more new packages on my screeen and still hadn't gotten a response as to where my paycheck Ilet them know that I would not send out the packages that I currently had until my paycheck was in my account. I had also gotten an email saying that the phone lines were down and to use email for communication. So I emailed them one last time and I let them know that it was not only a state offense to not pay a worker but federal and that I also had kept records of all the packages that I'd handeled including packing lists, copies of shipping labels and shipping receipts. I also have pics of the contents of all packages that I told them I'd be happy to turn over to the proprer authorities if requested. I ststed that I was going to be filing a complaint with my state and then go from there. The next day one person had received my email and then shut everything down as the others came back as undeliverable. The phone lines are all not working and the website I was using isn't working and neither is the regular one that is out on the web.
