The "company" contacted me through email saying i was tentatively hired as a virtual-personal assistant after submitting an application through one of the more popular employment sites (indeed.com, internships. com, etc.). I cannot remember which one because I have applied to so many places. However, I was skeptical due to the email response; it contained statements that raised a red flag. I tried to research this company but nothing would appear in Google, therefore I researched then business address. After realizing that it is a virtual office, I went back to the employment contract they sent me and went to the link to the business website it contained. The website is professional looking and does not at first glance appear to be a scam site. However, the articles/reviews that run down the side of the page (that ostensibly are to provide legitimacy - like the CNN article) do not contain any direct reference to this company. I dug deeper into the company address and finally found this site that confirmed my suspicions (https://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=109131). The company changes the business name about once a month to elude any serious google research. I do not report scams (most are easily identifiable), but this one is very well done and has been operating for quite awhile due to their elusive nature. They set you to do "legitimate" employment tasks, but right before the initial 1st month trial period they require W-4s and bank info to direct deposit the payroll checks. As per the scamwarners.com site, they are good enough with their scam that people are falling for this scam. And you would not be able to locate this one reference (the scamwarners.com forum about them) unless you searched the address instead of the business name. And even then, the link is several pages deep in Google's search query. Read the scamwarners.com link I included and it will detail everything they are doing, and how well they are deceiving the American public. Thank you....
