Phone call. Person calling pretends to be an author's representative for many years. Offers to represent you and sell your book to book store to put on store display. Pretends to present an unprofessional written agreement between you and agent, for you to sign. Speaks of a book fair and can only represent 10 or so books. Suddenly out of the blue you get a direct book sales order from a fake book store when the agreement was between you and the agent exclusively, no third party entanglement. Book store demands BOOK INSURANCE certification for the next 5 years. Agent offers the insurance policy for $9,000.00
