We hired twin home experts in a desperate attempt to eliminating our rat problem in our townhome. Our unit has had by far the most damage but we have shared walls with 3 other units totaling 4 units. We all agreed to hire this company, so we can resolve the issue. The rats had already chewed through an electrical wire on our tankless water heater destroying it, needing to be replaced and chewed through a drain pipe in the second story sub floor which leaked in the downstairs kitchen. To this date we’ve had 5k plus in damages in our property due to rats. Twin home experts has YouTube videos saying every other company is wrong in their approach and only they can get rats out of walls. In the video which I’m happy to supply, they say if you hire a rat company and they don’t solve your problem in 5-10 days fire that company. They gave us a quote over the phone but when they showed up they jacked the price up $2000. They cut holes in our ceiling in multiple areas to put cameras and set traps. The cameras were to watch the rats behaviors they said. Then went on a rant on how they have to trust the cameras the cameras don’t lie. They said if you hear rats at any part of the night text them. That night my wife and I heard rats in an area they put a camera so I checked the wyse camera they gave me access too and in the camera I could see a rat eating a dead rat in the soffit. My wife text the company at 1am letting them know we were seeing a rat on the camera. The next morning we got a text back from the company saying they saw nothing on the camera. We asked if they could go back and look at the camera footage and they said no because there was no motion sensor activated then proceeded to say there cameras are so sensitive they pick up a fly. If they would have put an SD card in the camera they would have been able to go back and look. We asked them to put SD cards in the camera and they refused. A $10k job and they refuse to put a $10 SD card in their camera. They even had to send a video to my wife of a fly on someone else camera. I call them telling them I watched the rat on their camera from 1:11-1:45am eating a dead rat. On the phone he said to me I have to trust the cameras implying I was lying and continued the cameras don’t lie denying there was a rat in the camera. The next night I learned how to screen record my phone screen so I could record the rats live on the Wyze camera. That night I have recordings of a rat at 11:43, 3:09, 4:11. The next morning when we asked him if he had seen any rats on the camera he said no. I proceeded to send him the video I had of a rat in our soffit eating a dead rat. His response was he’ll check with wyse, and responded the rat was to far from the camera and they were just going to continue to monitor. Refusing to address the issue. They refused to put an SD card in the camera to go back and review the rat. That night I saw rats on the camera again and screen recorded them, and in the morning I text him if he saw the rats on the camera the night before and he refused to respond to my text. I will gladly supply the text. At this point I was worried they were going to continue this game if there’s no rats on the camera then say the issue was solved. 10 days out they have caught zero rats and refused to even try and see them on their own cameras. My neighbor wanted to stay with the company because we have the rat problem and don’t have any other options to solve it. Unfortunately I was starting to feel this was a scam. Fast forward a month and still no rats caught. Around Memorial Day weekend the Wyze camera recorded a rat from the motion sensor in our unit. A week later twin home experts contacted my neighbor saying they wanted to come pick up their equipment because they’ve had no rat activity on their cameras in a month. That’s where the scam comes full circle, they are ignoring the rats in the cameras so they can say the jobs done, they refused to put an SD card in their camera because that would mean they’d have to admit there were rats. To this date a month plus later they have not caught a single rat and have refused to acknowledge rats on their own cameras. Their deceptive marketing implied they were the only company that knew how to get rats out of walls and that they could do it in under 10days. They were almost 5x the price of the previous rat company we used, but didn’t do anything more than the other company besides the cameras which they refused to look at. We hired them in hopes of the problem being resolved in under 10 days. To this date we still have a rat problem and they’ve caught zero rats. Apparently after my neighbor told them my wife and I had a rat sighting on camera they came out unannounced when my wife and I were not there, did not call, text, or leave a voicemail stating they would be here and we didn’t even find out till after the fact from the neighbor that they were at our complex. Yet we are the ones with rat activity and the most damage. They refuse to address our rat situation. I am happy to supply text, emails, rat videos on my phone, and YouTube videos.
