I went to get my catalytic converter replaced and paid them $2000 to replace it. A year went by before I noticed, but I took my car into my regular mechanic when i failed my emissions and my mechanic told me the catalytic converter was bad. I showed him the receipts saying it was replaced. He told me that it has never been replaced, it is very old and very rusted and it looked like to fix my problem last year they just replaced the resonator that was clogged. you can see the resonator is brand new and shiny and you can see the new weld marks where they cut and put it on. the catalytic converter was not replaced at all but they still took my money. I am currently trying to get them to make things right. when i confronted them about it they tried to trick me into thinking that my car has two catalytic converters and that they replaced the second one, which is conveniently out of sight. I called the honda dealership (i have a honda element 04) and they confirmed that i only have one converter and that those mechanics are lying to me. So i called them out about it and now they said they are trying to get a warranty to replace it but they've been dragging it out for weeks now and I don't believe they will actually give me the catalytic converter that i paid for.
