Type of a scam Other
not exuberant either. I took a chance based on the referral and hired him to do a bathroom (size of a walk in closet), remodel. Unbeknownst to me,
he subcontracted the job out without our knowledge or permission and later admitted that he hired "the wrong guy" and did not monitor him or the
work. I wanted this job to be completed prior to our moving in four months later.
Every aspect of this job was poorly done. 1) The tile floor had to be ripped up and redone resulting in the new vanity and commode that a local
plumber installed having to be pulled up. 2) A valve remained crimped, resulting in the local plumber having to put a hole in the plaster wall to access
it. 3) The hole in the wall had to be repaired and repainted. 4) While a guest was trying to shower, water went all over the floor. A local shower door
installer was hired. He determined that the shower door was the wrong size (too large) and had been installed backwards. A new door had to be
installed. (5 The local plumber was hired to replace a rusted, corroded shower drain, when he pulled up the drain cover, he was taken aback to
discover that the shower was not hooked up ( a year later) resulting in water going under the house. In addition, the plumber discovered that a pipe
related to this job remained broken and had to be repaired.
Finally, a year later, we have the use of the shower. They also removed a historic baseboard so they could replace one that had been short cut behind the vanity leaving broken tiles scattered on the floor thinking that since this was not visible, I would not be aware of it.
I feel that Mr. Chrisley was dishonest and as a result caused a great deal of stress that should not have happened.
