A friend messaged me on Facebook about how they received $100,000 from the COVID-19 relief fund and that I could apply for it as well. They gave me the phone number of "Agent Collins, the administrator in charge of the covid relief Funds program. It claimed to be financial assistance program to help elderly and disabled economically effected by covid. It claimed those who qualify get immediate access to the fund to maintain your standard of living before the virus. The scammer seemed unprofessional, which was a red flag, and also asked for all my information via text instead of through an application. But it wasn't until they asked me to pay a fee upfront with prepaid gift cards that I really got suspicious. I hung up but they keep calling me back from different numbers. It’s harassment at this point. 11 calls so far in 1 day trying to convince me it is real.

These people hacked one of my friends Facebook messenger telling me that I qualified for a Covid-19 grant. It was a special grant only certain people qualified for on top of the government stimulus. They gave me a number to call and a man with an ascent answered and said he was an agent with the government, and that i qualified for a $100,000 grant, and tried to get me to go get gift cards. I hung up.

I got a call from a woman with a heavy foreign accent and she claimed because of Covid-19, the government was paying off the credit cards of seniors and she asked for my credit card number and SS#. I asked who they were and the lady handed the phone to a man, also with a foreign accent, who she said was her supervisor. This man said he was "agent smith" with the government. I hung up the phone. They called back 4 times from that number then started calling form other numbers with different area codes. I have stopped answering the phone. This is a scam.

I got a text message saying that I was selected to get a special Covid-19 grant for seniors to help during this time. It was supposed to be a special program where i kept some of it and passed some on to others. I was given a number to call 312-205-9753 for information. I called and a man with a heavy foreign accent answered and he said a name that i did not catch. I asked him again for his name and he became very rude and said all i needed to know was that he was "agent of U.S government" I hung up the phone. 5 minutes later they called me back and told me I qualified for the grant but that i needed to go to Walmart and get gift cards to pay for processing and shipping, then they started asking for my personal info. I hung up again as i knew this was a scam. They keep calling and harassing me.

A women answered with a foreign accent and said she was "agent Susan Smith" . She said $100,000 could be delivered to my front door, i just had to give information and banking info. I asked why they needed banking info if it was going to be delivered to my door and she hung up. I know this is a scam. I called the ScamPulse.com and notified my friend that he had been hacked.

I got a new Facebook friend request and accepted it, then got a message asking if I had heard of the Covid-19 Government relief grant...she claimed she just got $100,000 delivered to her door. She told me who to contact to check to see if I was eligible. I then was contacted private message by someone who claimed to be a "Treasury Officer" and said his name was Thomas Smith. He said i was eligible for the $100,000 grant and asked me to fill out a form with personal info. I did not as I realized this was a scam. I called the ScamPulse.com and changed my facebook password.

The scam came through FB messenger. A "friend" sent the link to go to. I filled out a form that asked for personal info. I gave them name, address, phone number, driver's license info, make and model of car, mother's maiden name, etc. and was called by "William Barr, US AG."

The government wants to give money to spend to buy a home, raise children, pay off bills, go to school, etc. I was told to pay a fee upfront and the amount of the grant would depend on how big a fee was. Grants ranged from $50,000 - $300,000. I was told to put the fee money in cash in a padded envelope and take it to Fedex.

He gave a Suntrust routing number and account number to send the fee to. I called Suntrust bank and they couldn't find the account number he gave routing number 061000104 and account number 1000213637365.

Someone named Frank Thomas contacted me on Facebook messenger and said he was with the government. He said due to COVID-19, there were government grant funds available to me. He said i qualified for $150,000 and I would have to send $1,000 in gift cards or wire the money and I would be sent a check immediately . Another message was sent from my friend who who said she got the money. She claimed she followed all the steps the person provided and received the $150,000 in her bank account, no strings attached. I have since contacted the friend via phone and found out her Facebook was hacked. The friend did not actually receive the $150,000. This is all a huge scam.

I got a facebook message from a friend, who I later found out was hacked. They are asking you to call 877-456-2866 and give your SSN so that you can know when you’ll get your government relief check. This number seems to be circulating around because several of my church members have told me about it thinking it was real. With all the confusion and misconception about the relief money i think many people will fall for this.

My mother has received a couple of texts directing her to take a mandatory online COVID-19 test. She is a senior and is already scared. I have not seen the text but she called me. I instructed her to delete it.

I saw something on Facebook about a Covid-19 grant for seniors. I clicked on it and was immediately messaged by someone claiming to be the "u.s emergency grants federation" they said they were part of the U.S government and were offering government grants for the emergency. They wanted my personal information to see if i qualified. This is a scam. i gave them a fake S.S number and guess what...i qualified. All i had to do was pay a small amount for processing and tax and i would get my money. This is a scam and they need to be stopped.
