May not be a scam, but it's shady for sure.
I contacted customer service via chat. I was told that to send money using PayPal could only be done with the Friends & Family option, not the Goods & Services. There's no protection for me that way. When I said that I would send it with the Goods & Services option and even pay extra for the fees that the business would incur, I was denied.
The man offered to give me a 5% discount if I used the Zelle app to pay. I don't have Zelle or know anything about it. I did a little research and discovered that there's no protection for me, the consumer, with Zelle. I told him that wouldn't work for me and again offered to send money with PayPal and pay extra for the Goods & Services fee. He shot me down again.
All-in-all it was just shady. He seemed very adamant that the only way I could pay was at my own risk. That's just not how businesses should be run, in my opinion. It may be a legitimate business but it does not seem like it to me.

After about a week of still no information about the status of the order, I reached back out to the representative at the number I'd been texting the previous week.

My problem is, it was never expressed to me that the person I sent the money to the first time via Google Pay, no longer worked with the company. I shared with the second person I was dealing with, a screenshot of who I sent the money to at the very beginning of our conversation, before they went to check on the order status, and before making a second purchase. I really don't know if this company is a scam, or if they just have horrible business practices which makes customers financially vulnerable. Either way, I was force to immediately cancel my bank card and order a new one.
