We clicked the button to buy a ragdoll kitten named "Azure" and received an email response within 5 minutes around 11pm EDT on Thursday June 4th, 2020.
The scammer used the name Benjamin Ngwa and requested payment using the Zelle app or Cash app. We used the Zelle app to send $610 to the email [email protected] to pay for a ragdoll kitten to be transported by flight and delivered to our home. The next day around noon EDT Friday June 5th, the scammer requested more money transport the kitten in a rented air conditioned crate for $730 with promise to reimburse 98% of the fee. Payment was made to email [email protected] using name Jamale Devante Mcghee again using Zelle.
After an additional request for $800, we finally realized it was a scam and there was no purebred ragdoll kitten. We provided our full names and home address.
